Plot:
Based on the work of Monteiro Lobato, one of the best Brazilian writers, this is the story of the Brazilian folklore character "Saci". The film shows the adventures of Narizinho and Emilia, who want to capture the Saci in a bottle, by following the instructions of old Uncle Barnabé. The Saci, once captured and released again, will help undo the curse of the forest witch and turn her into stone.
In this Brazilian fairytale, Pedrinho and his cousin Narizinho live happily on their Granny's Yellowbrick farm. Narizinho likes to play with her live "Raggedy Ann" doll named Emilia and pick flowers on the farm, while Pedrinho wants to go hunting in the woods to capture a magical "saci". Pedrinho seeks advice from the wise old man Uncle Barnabe on how to capture a saci. Together with his cousin Narizinho, Pedrinho captures a saci in a bottle, but the saci remains invisible to their eyes. So it's back to the wise old man Uncle Barnabe who tells Pedrinho what he must do to see a saci. Pedrinho is off to the woods to see his captured saci, while cousin Narizinho is herself captured by a witch when she is picking flowers. So it's up to Pedrinho and his new-found friend the saci to rescue his cousin.
