But a late-night phone call throws her a curve as she finds out her close childhood friend, Danny Trillo, has passed away from cancer. Molly returns to her hometown for the funeral and reflects on a magical year in her life. It was a year between youth and adulthood when she and Danny bonded over baseball, the Pittsburgh Pirates, Roberto Clemente and wide-eyed innocence with friends, family and all the things that she has been ignoring in her adult life. Shot in Pittsburgh, The Great One reminds us of the power of forgiveness and to hold close the people and ideals from where you came.
