«Seryozha» is a documentary film about orphans living on the streets of St. Petersburg, Russia, some of whom are HIV-positive or have lost parents to AIDS. Filmmaker Denis Kuzmin follows the life of one orphan and through him tells the larger story of «street kids» exposed to drugs, sex and illnesses, including HIV/AIDS.
This spectacular story stresses the value and uniqueness of every child despite their HIV status. It also focuses on the value of love and affection between people that breaks all boundaries that are artificially set by the society.
