Extremadura, siglo XIX.

Extremadura (Spain), 19th century. Four shepherd children play cards under the shade of a fig tree since the arrival of Rogelio will change their lives forever. He won’t allow them to roam freely over the plains and hills anymore. As children, he’d throw rocks at them whenever he saw them, but now that they’re adults, he uses guns.
So far, his only victim is one of the sheep in their flock, but who knows if, in the future, one of them will be next. The time has come to face him and finally do something about it; so the four friends decide to pick, through a game of cards, which of them will be the one to kill their oppressor.
