Plot:
Teo is a kid who has lived most of his life in a small village in Northern Italy.
He was actually born in Venice, but his workaholic mother was too busy to take care of him,
and he has therefore been raised by his grandmother so far, in her farmhouse. Teo’s best friends are Angelo, a boy his age, and Dr. Cuccia, an old veterinarian. He loves exploring the local river on a raft with Angelo, and accompanying the doctor on his rounds. During one of her rare visits, Teo’s mother asks him to move to Venice. Once in the city, he has difficulty getting along with his classmates, who are hostile and consider him a misfit. Teo strongly hopes he can go back and live in the country someday.
