Esta película escrita y dirigida por Carlos del Castillo, nos relata la historia de Alfonso, un niño de 11 años que al perder a su madre y quedar solo, se emplea como “mandadero” de la única farmacia del pequeño pueblo en el que vive y descubre así su vocación por la medicina.
En 1954, Alfonso, un niño de 11 años pierde repentinamente a su madre quedando solo en una humilde y vieja casa de barro. Para sobrevivir, empieza a trabajar como «mandadero» en la única botica del pueblo. Allí, comienza a descubrir el mundo de la farmacéutica ayudando a algunas personas, pues el boticario está consumido por el alcohol. Alfonso descubre así su amor por la medicina. El filme fue escrito y dirigido por Carlos Del Castillo.

In 1954, Alfonso, an 11-year-old boy, suddenly loses his mother and is left alone in a humble old mud house in a small town in the mountains of Colombia. To survive, he starts working as an "errand boy" in the only "Botica" in town. There, he begins to discover the world of pharmacy, thus discovering his vocation for medicine in the midst of great changes in his life.
Alfonso is an 11 Y.O child who loses his mother suddently in the earlies 50's being forced to leave the school and start working as the Errand boy of the one and only pharmacy in town. He starts learning all the basic stuff about medecine changing his life dramatically.
