Plot:
Television play about the problems of a single mother and her teenage boy. He is obsessed with the idea that he must have a bicycle, and quite persistently so. His mother initially rejects this idea, because such a bike is an expensive thing for her, but then goes along with it in the hope that the bike will give the boy a goal, an occupation. The two start the thing with the bike, "piece by piece", first the saddle and then the other parts, all from the best. The venture brings them hard up against the abyss, not so much financially as in their life situation. They are endangered by themselves, by life and by fate. They have no luck, even if they are not unhappy, they don't make it, they get hit once again.
